It's funny how slow I am

It took me forever to realize I could go to concerts. Then it didn't occur to me I could up and move with no good reason. Now here I am and I'm thinking, I don't have to daydream about visiting New Zealand (which I've wanted to do since first learning of it - sad, I know - six years ago when watching Once Were Warriors). I can go, and I intend to do just that, with lots of saving and lots of planning. I'd like to see if I can find a summer job and obtain a work visa, but if not, I'll go as a visitor and live frugally. I know how to do that, after all. Isn't that what college is for?Anyone have any leads for job-seeking, or dogsitting, or whatever? The search begins. I'm going. That is all.

Does anyone

want me to make them any similarly disturbing 'become-your-favorite-character' pictures? Even if they're horrifying, it's really funny to look at. Lots of giggle material! Just post here - from any movie or show, just name it. I'm gonna be making Evil Dead 2 icons and that'd be a nice break, not to mention a challenge. (Hopefully I'll even be able to use PhotoShop!)

I want to kick

this attorney's butt. I have the news on as they determine the fate of Mr. Westerfield, yesterday convicted of the rape and murder of a young girl, and his attorney makes me want to vomit. Blech. This reminds me of waking up at four o'clock or so and hearing: "A beloved local professor murdered in his home, and optimizing weight loss - these and the other top local stories at ." That's right, that's when you know you live in Los Angeles - when weight loss and murder bear the same weight as pressing news! This is indeed a disturbing universe.
